Typical Problem: Student abroad experiences an emergency event or health crisis.

Typical Informant: Student, Faculty or Staff Member

Director of JYS or JYF if the situation warrants

College Actions: (Coordinated by Director of International Studies)	1) Determine from informant vital information and description of emergency.
	2) The Director of International Studies will notify the Point Person.
	3) Dean of Co-Curricular Life will notify families of students.*
	4) Director of International Studies maintains contact with sponsoring faculty member or program representatives abroad and campus administrators including on campus health-care professionals & university counsel to insure student receives appropriate care abroad or med-evac/repatriation of remains if necessary.
	5) The College Relations Office will be responsible for coordinating internal communication of an incident as well as any media releases for external audiences.
